The HP Surestore Disk System 2300 (ds2300) is the disk enclosure that is flexible enough to meet the needs of your dynamic IT environment. It boasts 14 LP disks, an industry-leading Ultra160 SCSI interconnect, and full redundancy in a 3U enclosure. With built-in upgradeability to Ultra320, the ds2300 protects your investment by supporting a mixed disk environment. Its 17-inch width and optimized 19-inch depth enable the ds2300's deployment in a variety of environments, including deskside and in two-post or four-post racks.

Fully redundant power supplies, fans, and bus control cards ensure that you always have access to your data. Product maintenance is simple, with hot-swappable disks, power supplies, fans, and bus control cards. The enclosure provides in-band SES and SAF-TE environmental monitoring to enable most of today's environmental and management software. All this comes with multiple operating system support, including HP-UX, MPE, Windows, Windows NT, Linux, and NetWare.
